			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="/g/image/24322-4/cannonball2007.jpg" alt="Cannonball Run Europe 2007" class="alignright" />Could today&#8217;s start of the <a href="http://www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk/" target="_blank" class="liexternal">Cannonball Run Europe</a> be the last one to be held in the UK?  It has almost certainly been toned down after the <a href="http://www.gumball3000.com/" target="_blank" class="liexternal">Gumball 3000</a> was terminated earlier this year after 2 people died in Macedonia.  No stickers, no burnouts and pretty much no exotic cars apart from a few.  I&#8217;m not sure if we&#8217;re going to bother to find out when next years event is going to be.</p>

Again, it is one of those annual events (<a href="/gallery/events/cannonball2003/" class="liinternal">2003</a>, <a href="/gallery/events/cannonball2004/" class="liinternal">2004</a> and now <a href="/gallery/events/cannonball2005/" class="liinternal">2005</a>) that we go to as it is such a good spirited event and some of the cars you will only see or hear once in a lifetime (unless I get 6 numbers this Saturday).</p>
<p>On the first leg they had to get to Sweden, a mere 959 miles away!</p>
